Help

A real person answers all of these — Wen Ji, the consultant who gave you the card. There is no ticket system and no queue.

Singapore. Say which card it's about and what you're stuck on.

I've just been given a card. What do I do?

Point your phone camera at the QR code on the back. It opens the setup page — about two minutes, no app needed. You choose the people who should be called for you, and the order they get called in.

If the camera won't scan it, go to thefirstdial.com and type the 12-character code printed under the QR.

How do I open my own card later?

Either scan the QR again, or open the app, or go to thefirstdial.com/signin. There's no password — your mobile number and date of birth are enough.

It says my details don't match

Almost always one of three things: the card was never set up (scan the QR first), the date of birth is entered differently from how you gave it, or your mobile number has changed. After five wrong tries the number locks for fifteen minutes — that's deliberate, to stop anyone guessing their way in. Message the number above and you'll get a fresh link straight away.

I need to change who gets called

Open your card and edit the list. Changes are live immediately and the printed card does not need reprinting — the card only ever points at your page, so the page is always current.

I've lost my wallet

Message the number above. The code on the lost card is retired so it stops working, and a new card is issued with a new code. Do this even if you think the card will turn up.

Someone put me on their card and I'd rather not be

Message the number above and you'll be removed. You don't need the cardholder's permission to ask, and you won't be asked to justify it.

I want my card and my details deleted

Message the number above. Your record, your contacts, your insurers and your history are deleted and the code stops working. It can't be undone afterwards.

Does the app cost anything?

No. The app is free, there is nothing to buy inside it, and there are no ads. Cards are given out by your consultant.

Do I need the app at all?

No. Everything works in a web browser, and the emergency page a stranger sees never needs an app — a paramedic will not install anything. The app is for living with the card: opening it behind Face ID, changing a number on the train, having it work with no signal.
